- Austin A135 Princess II was mechanically identical to the Princess I except a single Stromberg carburettor in place of the earlier cars triple SU's.
- The front auxiliary lights were now attached to the front bumper rather than being recessed into the front bodywork in Princess I. The rear door quarter windows were now angled rearwards
- Steel sunroof and Ekco radio and electro-hydraulic jacking system remained standard equipment.
- Seats were now usually trimmed all in leather rather than the leather/cloth combination of the Princess I.
- A total of 760 cars with Vanden Plas bodies (669 Saloons and 91 Touring Limousines) were produced before manufacture ceased in 1953.
