Highlights from 1974MY (released in October 1973).
- Exterior: black vinyl covering on rear window pillars, sliding side windows without black metal channel at the rear edge, printed "Range Rover" badges on scuttle sides, modified bonnet operation.
- Interior: differential warning light moved from actuator knob to 'Diff Lock' warning light on dashbord, brushed bronze cloth upholstery as option.
- Engine: electric fuel pump with vertical mount standard, replaces mechanical fuel pump or the optional electrical fuelpump with horizontal mount.
- Transmission: front and rear differentials improved to reduce transmission play.
