The Hunter special edition was available in 1991 MY only. Released in February 1991 this model comes as low-cost option equipped without front spoiler, wood dash trim, power seats, sway bars or ABS. Highlights: cloth interior in Brown Brogue with American walnut door inserts, silver painted three-spoke alloy wheels, special Hunter badge on the rear door. Range Rover Hunter was available in four colours: Eastnor Green, Portofino Red, Arran Beige (all exlusively for Hunter in 1991 MY) and Alpine White.

Standart equipment: air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, heated outside mirrors, heated frond windshield, heated rear window, AM/FM stereo cassette audio system with six speakers. Optional equipment: power sunroof with sliding screen. With a price of $35950 the Hunter was the most affordable Range Rover in 1991 and costs $4175 cheaper than County SE, the other special edition released that year. It is believed that 405 vehicles were made in the Hunter edition for US market.
