The 13.4m 100-seat three-axle double deckers, able to carry up to 129 passengers in total. The buses were developed in close collaboration with Lothian and chassis manufacturer Volvo, and manufactured in Falkirk plant. Alexander Dennis’s Enviro400XLB was the first bus for the United Kingdom to be mounted on Volvo’s three-axle B8L chassis, powered by the efficient 350hp Euro 6 D8K engine.
